Four things

 1. Wuthering Heights

I’m not sure why I never got around to reading this but I just nicked it from my sister’s bookshelf and since I’m not averse to a little URST (unresolved sexual tension) I’m quite looking forward to it.

2. Necklace from here

If you’re after unique and relatively inexpensive accessories, Thurley has some great stuff.  Currently loving this copper and peach resin number.

3. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Complex

When looking at new makeup and beauty items I like to consult about 367 websites and 14 books before purchasing.  Estee Lauder seems to always win praise for both the Advanced Night Repair serum and eye complex.  I’ve found them both pretty impressive, they’re light and a little bit goes a long way….well as far as it can without using injectables.

4.  Vampire Weekend

Your Big Day Out 2013 training starts…now!  I have not been to an outdoor music festival since 1999.  To tell you I’m a little frightened would be an understatement.  Denim underpants scare me.  Pushy Gen-Y types scare me.  Queuing for alcohol scares me.  As part of my training regime I’ve pulled out my Vampire Weekend records…yes I’m still calling them records.

What are you enjoying this month?

not a sponsored post but I will consider exchanging my first born for expensive beauty products, classic novels, beats and jewellery.

Wuthering Heights is one of my all time favourite books. I read it every year.

I haven’t been to a festival for three years. I miss them, but not the pushy Gen-Ys or their fluro singlet tops. I think I knew my love of the festival was coming to an end when one youngster told me he had never heard of Paul Kelly, who happened to be playing later that night. I was tempted to not let him buy alcohol from me.

I’m having a love affair with the new Mumford & Sons single. I’m practicing my loud singing before I embarrass Ms11 at their concert later this year with my ridiculous fangirl behaviour and loud pitchy sing-a-long tendencies.

Confession: I have no idea who Vampire Weekend are! I absolutely love that necklace. I haven’t purchased enough jewellery lately… must rectify that! I also must confess that I haven’t read Wuthering Heights or many of the classics. Oooh, I just read Naomi’s comment below – I’m a HUGE Mumford and Sons fan too. Will be displaying ridiculous fangirl behaviour at their concert in October too!
