Four things

1. Kikki-K Daily Notes

Ah sweet stationery.  You make my heart skip a beat.  Sometimes I write down already completed tasks on your to-do lists just because it feels so damn good crossing those suckers out.  Mmmm stationery…..

2. Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani in 101

It’s true.  When the economy dips, lipstick sales go up.  I know this because I read it somewhere that now escapes me and I’m simply too tired to search for it on google and provide you with the hard facts.  You will just have to trust me.

I’m a massive fan of Giorgio Armani beauty products but since I don’t like extending my mortgage to purchase make-up I highly recommend using a parcel forwarding company or Strawberry Net if you want to give it a try.  I bought this number a couple of months back and it’s quickly become my holy grail of beige.

3. Alabama Shakes – Boys & Girls

What’s not to love about an American band from the deep south and a singer named Brittany?  I have my sister to thank for putting me onto these guys and I’m praying they don’t explode too much before touring here as part of the Big Day Out because these days the only mosh pits I see are the ones involving parents and grandparents pushing in to pick up pre-school children.

4. Local Honey

I once read that eating locally made honey reduces the symptoms of hayfever.  I like to remind myself of this while I’m spooning large mounds all over my toast despite the fact the theory has been quite convincingly debunked.

Whether it’s true or not, home-made has no preservatives and it also tastes a whole lot better.  You can even adopt your own hive in Melbourne if you’re that way inclined and don’t have a phobia of wings like I do.

So that’s what’s floating my boat this month.  Do you like my four things?  Should I make it a regular event?  What’s floating your boat at the moment?

this is not a sponsored post but I’m completely open to being kept in honey, lipstick and stationery supplies

  1. says

    I love your four things.

I may be known to re-write my notes and to do lists so they look more aesthetically pleasing.

I am a YSL lipstick lover. It’s an expensive habit, but I’m just doing my bit to keep the economy afloat.

My MIL packs huge buckets of honey in her luggage when she comes over from Tassie. We’re a family of leatherwood fiends. So, it’s kind of local.

As for Alabama Shakes, aren’t the fantastic. But lets not spread the word just yet.
