My Top Ten Albums Revealed

Last week I spoke of music and mirth and how I’ve been busy collating my top fifty albums of all time.  Well it’s now time to reveal my top ten.  I did warn you there would be grunge but I promise this does taper off.  A little.

This is by no means a discerning list, just albums that have been the soundtrack to my existence and which still hold up to this day.

At the end of the list you will find a link to a playlist on 8tracks with my selections from the top ten.  I will keep adding to this as I reveal more of the list each week.  If you would still like an album cover in your mailbox, please let me know.  I might even share an intimate memory on the back.

    Oh you have some excellent selections there, some of these albums still transport me to a specific point in my teenage angst of docs and levis, love it! Nevermind forever changed my connection with music and it will always hold a special place in my heart. There are a couple I am not that familar with but will definitely listen to based of your fabulous taste ;)

    Ten is one of my all time favourite albums!!! I was in uni going through my (pseudo) grunge phase and just loved it! My favourite song on the album was “Black” Moved me. Every. Single. Time.
    Saw them in concert in 1994 (?).

    Ooh, you started with the top 10! Exciting!

    I reckon five of those would be in my top 20 or so. You were obviously much cooler than me in the 90s/00s though because there would be at least one embarrassing pop album in my top ten.

    Good list, I have all of the albums apart from the Pixies, so off to listen to that now on Spotify as you obviously have great taste :)

    This looks extraordinarily like my list from the ’90s! Except I had a little more punk, hardcore and metal. I’d still whack a couple on my top ten list though!
